NACCHO sought a cohesive visual identity for their Project Firstline educational resources and campaign materials. Their goal was to engage public health professionals, strengthen collaboration with healthcare workers and local health departments, and enhance training accessibility. They needed a unified style guide to ensure consistency across their materials.

THE CONCEPT

This project explores hand-drawing as a design element that goes beyond functionality, bringing depth and personality to visual storytelling. I focused on the nuances of hand-drawn icons and illustrations to craft designs that tell a story and emotionally resonate with their audience. Knowing that custom illustrations can simplify complex ideas and enhance engagement, we saw them as the perfect fit for this client’s focus on local public health practice and systems.
